The average of lap times, calls and commutes
Enter each duration as h:mm:ss, one per row. A lap of 1 minute 32 seconds goes in as 0:01:32. The page reads the list and gives you the average, the sum of all entries, the count, the shortest entry and the longest.
The average is the sum divided by the count, shown as h:mm:ss. That makes it a quick way to find a typical lap in a set of track laps, the usual length of customer calls in a log, a normal commute across a week of trips, or the mean time of a series of runs.
Shortest and longest sit beside the average because the mean alone can hide a lot. A commute that averages 41 minutes may include one 51 minute day, and seeing the spread tells you more than the middle figure does.
This is a plain mathematical average of the numbers you type. It makes no claims about what a good or bad time is, and it does not interpret the figures in any health or fitness sense.

Questions about this calculator
How do I enter minutes and seconds only?
Put a zero in the hours place, as in 0:04:10 for 4 minutes 10 seconds.
Does it ignore blank lines?
Leave unused rows empty. Only filled entries count toward the sum and the count.
Is this the mean or the median?
It is the mean: the total divided by the number of entries. For the middle value, sort the list and read the centre entry.
