Twelve minutes: five rounds to an hour
Twelve is a length that divides an hour into five equal parts, which is why teachers and workshop leaders use it for a stations rotation: five stations, twelve minutes each, one hour. The same logic works for a five-item agenda with equal time per item.
It is also a fair length for a timed practice question, a focused read of a short chapter or a speaking exercise with feedback. When you have a one hour slot, setting this timer five times gives you a clean plan.
Press Start to see the "Ends at" time, which makes it easy to announce when the next group moves on. The tab title counts down, the disc empties and the sound choices are the same four as the other pages. Use F for full screen, R to reset.
Twelve is also two sixes and three fours, so it splits evenly in several ways. A facilitator can run a twelve minute station as three four minute phases, or two six minute halves, and say the split out loud so the group knows what is coming next.
