Forty-five minutes for longer sessions
Forty-five minutes is three quarters of an hour. It is a common length for a lecture slot, a long meeting you want to hold to its limit, a driving-practice drill with a set stop time, or a half of a football match in many amateur leagues.
The long length is where the clock-based design matters. The timer notes the finish time when you start and checks it against the device clock, so a tab left in the background for most of the session still shows the correct time left.
Look at the "Ends at" line to plan the rest of your day, for example a 1:00 PM start ending at 1:45 PM. The tab title counts down. Keys are Space, R and F, and Copy link stores your chosen sound.
Because 45 and 15 add up to an hour, the page pairs naturally with the 15 minute timer for a session that has a break built in. You might run a 45 minute meeting and then a 15 minute buffer, so people can move to their next call without rushing.
Questions about this timer
What is 45 minutes in seconds?
2,700 seconds.
Can I use it to time a match half?
Yes. Start it at kick-off and it shows when 45 minutes are up. It does not add stoppage time, so note that separately.
Should the screen stay on?
The page requests it while running. Keep the device plugged in for long sessions.
