Six minutes for a round with a little extra room

Six minutes sits between the usual five and ten. It suits a classroom pair-share where five minutes was too tight, a short speech with questions, or a round of a board game with a simple turn limit. Ten of them make up an hour, so it divides a one hour session neatly.

Because 6 x 10 = 60, a six minute timer is easy to use as a tenth of an hour. A facilitator running ten identical rounds in a workshop can reset after each bell and stay on a clean hour schedule.

The display shows the digits and a draining disc. The "Ends at" line gives the finish time, and the tab title counts down. You can switch sounds, press F for full screen and use Copy link to keep the choice.

It also helps with batching. Six minutes on email, six on messages and six on a to-do list make eighteen minutes of clear, separate attention. When the bell goes, you move on whether or not the pile is finished, which stops one small job from eating the whole slot.
