Popular countdowns
Open a countdown already set to the next date. The date is worked out on your device.
A live countdown you can name and share
Set the target date and, if the moment matters, the time too. The page then shows days, hours, minutes and seconds remaining and updates every second. Leave the time empty and the countdown aims for the start of that day, midnight on your device.
Add a label such as "Holiday", "Launch day" or "Exam" and it appears above the numbers. The label is only text for you and the people you share with. It is not checked or stored on a server.
Use the share button to copy a link that has the date, time and label in the address. Anyone who opens it sees the same countdown, calculated against their own clock. That makes it easy to post in a group chat or pin in a browser tab.
Because the countdown reads your device clock and zone, two people in different countries will see different hours for a midnight target. Pick the time explicitly if the exact moment matters to the group. Once the date passes, the page says so instead of counting upward.

Holiday dates, 2026 to 2035
Christmas (25 December), New Year's Day (1 January), Valentine's Day (14 February) and Halloween (31 October) fall on the same date every year, so only the weekday changes. US Thanksgiving is the fourth Thursday of November. Western Easter is the first Sunday after the church's calculated full moon on or after 21 March; Orthodox churches use a different calendar and usually celebrate on another date. Other countries and calendars keep their own holiday dates.
